What is it?

.tel is an exciting new development. Put simply, it is a way of having all of your contact details in one place so people can easily get in touch with you. There's information including a video on how to use it in business and a video about use by an individual.

You can put as much or as little information in as you wish. We have only entered our basic contact details so far but we can add or change information and it will be updated in real time. We will not be adding anything which puts us at risk of being defrauded or having our identity stolen. Do use your common sense and do not add such things as bank account details, credit card numbers or home addresses.

Do I need one?

There are many web based directories which charge you lots of money for inclusion. For £15 plus VAT per year, you can have your contact details in one place and everybody will be able to find you. This will become the recognised way to stay in touch and to be found. Pick your favoured name. Contact us to book it quickly before it goes. See below or call 0113 320 0303. Don't forget it is first come first served. Cyber squatters are already believed to be taking a keen interest. If somebody already has a different version of your site name, or the one you first wanted, grab it before someone else does.

Does that mean we'll need a new web site?

No. Your .tel is web based already. You just fill in the details in your own administration section and update them as and when you want to or need to. No knowledge of HTML or scripting languages required. There is a downloadable PDF help booklet and we are available for further help if required.

How do I get one?

Let us know your required name, the number of years you wish to register for and how you wish to pay. Registration options are anything from 1 to 10 years in full years and you can pay either by internet banking/BACS or card. We will send you an invoice by email for the former and a Google Checkout invoice for the latter.
